free printable | ideas for documenting the weekend

Today is Independence Day in the states, which means it's a long weekend filled with get-togethers, barbecues, pool time, beach trips, and lots of yummy food. My mom is visiting us and we'll be hanging out with friends throughout the weekend, so I want to make sure I document it. Something I've found really useful for events like this is to jot down a few ideas for photos ahead of time, so I have them in the back of my mind. Of course, I'll wind up taking way more pictures than I'll ever print or use, but there are a few I'd like to be sure I get this weekend. I decided to make a checklist. If I miss a few, no biggie, but this will remind me to actually break out my camera and snap the shots I really want to make sure I get.

If you're looking for some fun photo inspiration, here are a few of my recent faves:

- Snapshots from a couples trip to Costa Rica via A Beautiful Mess
These gorgeous summery shots by Mike over at the Fresh Exchange
- A weekend in Palm Springs via Elise Cripe
- This watermelon shot via Liz Schneider
- Scenes from a weekend via House Inhabit

I'll also be breaking out our summer memories printable so our friends can add to it. CLICK HERE to download it - also for FREE! Happy Independence Day, America! Have a great weekend, everyone.
